Types of nylon 6:

• Nylon 6 HOY:

Nylon 6 HOY (Highly Oriented Yarn) is similar to POY except that it is produced through the high speed spinning process to create stabilisation and crystallisation without the drawing process. Nylon6 HOY is brighter and softer, including 15 denier to 400 denier. Suitable for clothing and industrial use on weaving, circular knitting, warp knitting and process of fancy yarn. Industrial yarns with 200 denier up are suitable for fabrics of bags or suitcase.

• Nylon 6 FDY:

Nylon 6 FDY (Fully Drawn Yarn) comes in different luster and specifications, includes 15 denier to 800 denier. Suitable for clothing and industrial use on weaving, circular knitting, and warp knitting. Industrial yarns are so versatile that various applications are available.

• Nylon 6 POY:

Nylon 6 POY (Partially Oriented Yarn) is the first form of yarn made directly from melt spinning process and comes in different luster like semi dull, bright, and black. And finds various downstream applications such as ATY, DTY and draw warping.

• Nylon 6 DTY:

Nylon 6 DTY (Drawn Textured Yarn) is made from POY through texturising process, i.e. simultaneously twisted and drawn. Specifications includes 20D ~ 400D. Suitable for clothing use on circular knitting and warp knitting and process of covering yarn, dyeing yarn, andfancy yarn.

• Nylon 6 ATY:

Nylon 6 ATY (Air Textured Yarn) is also know as spun-like yarn. Nylon 6 ATY is obtained when POY is drawn and texturised through air stream in a chamber. The features of ATY is light weight, wear resistant, easily cleaned and quick dry and suitable for sports wears, casual wears, jackets, back pack, baggage, and chairs etc.
